I had a message from the RMI program director that said that there are 3 infant girls pending referral and she "assumes" one will be ours if the birth mom doesn't change her adoption plan. It's a YIPPEE! for us but also a real downer as I think about the birth mom finalizing her adoption plan. As hard as the wait has been I hope that I never have to be in the position of the birth mom and making the decision to not parent a child.
So stay tuned for an update-the program director's closing remarks were, "I believe you are close, very close."
